Make Record-Setting History

Congratulations to our Charger Jazz Students for a record-setting year. These five students recorded for the TMEA All-State Area Jazz audition, and competed against several students from all over the state, containing the best jazz musicians from all 33 TMEA regions in the State of Texas. Despite the challenges and odds our students faced, these students exceeded beyond any expectation and rose to the occasion. We are proud to announce that for the first time ever, Veterans Memorial Early College High School has TWO All-State Jazz Musicians and the first-ever Bass Trombonist in school history. This is Miguel and Michael's first time earning a chair in the TMEA All-State Jazz Band. In addition, all of our students placed above the top 16 in the State of Texas, where some of these students competed against as much as 125 students from all over the State.
